You can create custom flyer templates for online viewing, as well as for printing and using for property flyers. The Realcomp Online Custom Template Designer allows you to drag and drop text and images right on the Web page.
You work with text and image blocks to design your flyer. You can add as many blocks as you want, as well as move them and change their size.
How do I design a new flyer format?
Select “Design New Flyer” from the Select Different Flyer Format drop-down list.
The Custom Template Designer opens for you to edit the template.
The Custom Template Designer contains the template for you to design and a toolbox to help you complete your activities.

Click the Add New Text Block button in the Drag and Drop Toolbox.
A text block for you to work with appears on the page. You can move it to the place you want it and overwrite the default text.
How do I move a text or image block?
To drag the block with your mouse, first click on the block. The block is then outlined with squares.
Place the cursor on the upper-left square.
When the cursor changes to a four-way arrow, drag the block to the location you want it.
How do I change the size of a text or image block?
To stretch the block vertically, first click on the block. Place the cursor on the lower-left square. When the cursor changes to a vertical arrow, stretch the block to the size you want it.
To stretch the block horizontally, first click on the block. Place the cursor on the upper-right square. When the cursor changes to a horizontal arrow, stretch the block to the size you want it.
To stretch the block horizontally and vertically, first click on the block. Place the cursor on the lower-right square. When the cursor changes to a diagonal arrow, stretch the block to the size you want it.
Note: Stretching a text block only changes the area the block occupies. It does not change the size of the text or image itself.
To change the image size within a block, first change the block size using one of the methods mentioned previously. Then, click on the image and then on the Image Sizing tool (in the Drag and Drop Toolbox) you want to use. For instance, if you want to increase the size of your image, first increase the size of the block. Then, click on the image and then the Fit Image to Block Size button.
How do I edit text within a text block?
As with most word processing programs, you can drag the mouse, or hold the SHIFT key while moving the cursor, to select (highlight) a piece of text. You can also use your mouse to insert the cursor anywhere within the text and begin typing, as well as use the left and right arrow to move the cursor within a text block.
To change the font style, select the text and then select the font you want to use from the Toolbox Style drop-down list.
To change the font size, select the text and then select the font size you want from the Toolbox Size drop-down list.
To change the color of the text, select the text and then click on the color you want from the Toolbox Color palette. Then select "Selected Text" from the Set Color For... drop-down list.
How do add a field from the database?
Insert the cursor where you want the database field information to appear.
Select the field you want from the Database Field drop-down list.
How do I change the length of the template?
To stretch the template border, first click on an image or text block. Then drag the block against the template border to stretch the border to the size you want it.
If you know the url of the Web image, you can type the address into the Web Image field. To copy the address into the field, complete the following steps.
Go to the page that contains the image you want to add to the template. Note that you may want to open a new browser window using CTRL + N on your keyboard to navigate to the page.
Right-click on the image and choose Properties from the menu.
Copy the address of the image by dragging the mouse over the text, right-clicking on the highlighted text, and selecting Copy from the menu.
Return to the Drag and Drop template.
Paste the address of the image by inserting the cursor and then using CTRL + V on your keyboard into the Web Image field.
Click Web Image.
How do I add the listing default image?
Select "Default Listing Photo" from the Database Image list box.
The image for you to work with appears on the page.
Note: The default image is the property photo you select through the Manage Listings function.
How do I change the background color of the template?
To change the template background, select the color you want to use.
Select "Flyer Background" from the Set Color For list box.
How do I change the background color of text and image blocks?
Select the color you want to use.
Select the block.
Select the appropriate item from the Set Color For list box.
Click Save Changes if you want to save edits to an existing template. Overwrite the name if you want a new name for the template.
Click Save As New if you want to create a separate template. Then name your new template.
While viewing the flyer, click Printable View.
Use your browser's Print function to print the flyers.
Select the template you want to delete from the Select Different Flyer Format list.
When the template appears on the page, click Edit Template.
When the editing template appears on the page, click Delete Template.
Note: You can’t delete a template created by somebody else, even if it is shared with you. You can, however, make any modifications and save them as your new template.
