Search Criteria

When you conduct searches, you enter search criteria into the Search Criteria fields, and then you can choose to further modify your criteria by selecting an option from the corresponding Search Criteria Modifier list box.

The following table includes tips for using some of the search criteria fields:

Check Boxes

You can select one or more check boxes.

Option Buttons

You can choose only one option.

Text Fields

You can directly type text and numerals.

Min and Max fields

You can enter an amount in a Min field and an amount in the Max field to find matches within those amounts.

Lists

You can choose from a list of items. With multiple list boxes, you can choose more than one item.

Modifying Search Criteria

The following table includes tips for using the search criteria modifier drop-down lists:

Modifier

Explanation

Select One

To find matches that include any of the values.

Select All

To find matches that include the value.

Select None

To find matches that exclude the value.

Exact Match

To find matches that are the same as the value.

Starts With

To find matches that start with the value.

Contains

To find matches that contain the value.

Less Than

To find matches less than the value.

Greater Than

To find matches greater than the value.

Ends With

To find matches that end with the value.
